Jeanette’s family moved to Sonoita in 1995, she has worked in the wine industry for over a decade, and is now raising her own family in Sonoita . Over and over, she heard visitors ask the same question: “Is there a local driving service based right here?” Grassland Tours was created to fill that gap.

This region has so much more to offer than a quick tasting and a drive back to Tucson or Phoenix. It’s layered with history, open landscapes, hardworking people, and stories worth hearing. Her goal is to help visitors experience Sonoita in a way that feels personal, relaxed, and genuinely local, without the stress of driving.

Growing up in Arizona and hearing stories from his Basque grandfather, who worked on Southern Arizona ranches after World War II, Luke Bidegain developed a deep respect for the land, the people, and the region’s history. With both parents working for the U.S. Forest Service, he was raised with an appreciation for public lands, hiking, and preservation.

When he’s not helping behind the scenes or sharing his knowledge of back roads, ranching roots, and Sonoita wine country history, you’ll find him pointing out hidden gems, swapping local stories, or enjoying the open road alongside Jeanette. His connection to the area’s heritage adds an extra layer of local insight to every ride.
